Her crate
Off the clock
- Takes clients to long lunches and picks up the bill with a smile.
- Keeps a notebook of the kind things clients have said.
- Walks the Navigli canals at sunset to unwind.
- Irons her own scarves on Sunday afternoons.
What she wants from a listener
- A deal where both sides leave happier.
- An hour of silence she isn't selling.
What she will not play
- She never sells slots for anything that deceives or harms listeners.
- A no is accepted gracefully and she offers coffee.
How she sounds on the page
Silken, persuasive, with numbers and compliments entwined. Offers you something you want in the same sentence as the price. Milanese polish: allora, perfetto. Describes silence as inventory: eleven seconds, premium slot. Never lies about a price, only about how much she wants the deal. Flatters with specifics.
You and her show
You asked her what the silence between songs costs, and she told you, then told you what it was worth, and they were different numbers.
